“I am heartily thankful to God for allowing me to be studying for His Sacred priesthood. Considering all that I have been given in my life, I am unquestionably the least deserving of all men that I know to receive this tremendous blessing.
I am driven to a love of the priesthood by the unchanging Truth of the Holy Trinity, which gives order, peace, and harmony to all who choose to embrace Christ, Who is the revelation of God the Father. As the currents of the world surge defiantly against the Holy Spirit of Christ, I am driven all the more to Him Who authoritatively asserts: "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one goes to the Father except through Me."

My good and healthy experiences with manly priests I knew as a boy while serving at the altar built up in my heart and mind a firm trust in the Church and all that She teaches. This, built upon the powerful foundation of a loving family, with relatives who I could honestly look up to as men and women to emulate, was irreplaceable in solidifying a special relationship between myself and my Father in Heaven. Irrational hostility leveled against my Catholic Faith by college professors precipitated my educating myself in the Faith, which in turn, strengthened my faith immeasurably. From there, I began a career in the New York City Police Department as a patrolman, where I enjoyed invaluable experience that I would never have been able to acquire elsewhere. My belief in the truth of, and need for Jesus Christ grew exponentially in my short time on the job, and spurred me on to pursue a possible position on the Front Lines of our battle with evil, by seeking entry into the seminary to study for the sacred priesthood.

With the saintly direction, orthodox example, and manly leadership of the Pastor of the Church of Our Saviour, Father George Rutler, I was even more inspired to follow our Blessed Lord and to engage in battle with the "principalities and powers" of evil and darkness in the world, that seek tyranny and a culture of death. In strict accord with God's will, I encourage every Catholic man to consider, not necessarily what they want to do with life, but rather, what God wants of them. Therein lies honor. Therein lies manhood. Therein lies real happiness."
